Raining Men 2020

The piece uses the masculine appearance of three male dancers and tries to open their gender boundaries and redefining the maximal masculine and maximal feminine and the norms of those two.

It’s an attempt to fold the “natural” into the produced “ready-made” by tracing the power, violence, delicacy, sexuality and their cravings. It questions our definitions on men and heroism as expected to be. By putting the brave and the heroic on a pedestal, when the reason for heroism is empty and disconnected from context, suddenly androgynous creatures are exposed. Creatures who do not know what role they must play if they still stick to their transitory purpose – men and heroes.
